The agenda for the August meeting of the Port Commissioners has been published. It has been confirmed that the agenda does not contain an item submitted by Keith Mishkin, owner of Coronado Boat Storage, Cays Resort Inc., and Cambridge Properties, for a proposed development of North Grand Caribe Isle. In response to emails to the Port, the following was received: “Thank you for contacting the Port of San Diego and for your interest in this matter. Your feedback is important. The Port staff and the City of Coronado are working closely together to address this proposal. Commissioner Urtasun assures no action will be taken by the Board of Port Commissioners without first receiving input from the community. In support of community engagement, the Port of San Diego will host several workshops in the month of August in the city of Coronado to hear directly from the public. Please stay tuned for details on those sessions which will be finalized soon.”
Thee CCHOA Board of Directors approved a letter stating their opposition to the proposed project at the monthly meeting held on August 4, 2022. The letter has been sent to the Port Commissioners and Coronado City Council and Staff. A copy of the letter and enclosures can be found on the CCHOA website for your information. Additionally, the Coronado Cays Yacht Club letter opposing the proposed RV-Resort is also provided.
Coronado Cays RV-Resort plans are provided for your information and comment. Comments should be submitted to Port Commissioner Frank Urtasun at furtasun@portofsandiego.org. Coronado Cays owners are also encouraged to attend the upcoming Port Commissioners’ meetings in person. The next meeting of the Port Commissioners will be held on September 13th at 1pm at the Don L. Nay Port Administration Boardroom located at 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego.
Thank you, CCHOA Management
