City of Coronado Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Turn-In Program

10/29/2018

As you may know, the City has received grant funding from California Department of Boating and Waterways to be used for the abatement of derelict boats that have or may otherwise be abandoned in the waterways, bay and ocean. Of you are aware of vessels that may be in danger of sinking or damaging our waterways, please refer them to the City of Coronado to see if they mat qualify for assistance free of charge.

How does the VTIP work?

Step One: Submit your contact information, the size and location of your vessel to Dominique Albrecht, City of Coronado, via email dalbrecht@coronado.ca.us

Step Two: If your request is accepted, further information and instructions will be provided regarding ownership verification and boat surrender. If you are unable to deliver your boat, pick-up may be available.

Step Three: Surrender the boat and walk away. It's that easy!

To Apply for more information on VTIP, contact Dominique Albrecht at (619) 522-7305
