The 20^th Annual SilverStrand Half Marathon & 5K benefiting the Challenged Athletes Foundation is scheduled for Sunday, November 10^th.  We are expecting 3,000 runners, joggers, walkers and skaters.  We will have numerous challenged athletes competing on prosthetics, in wheelchairs and on handcycles. 

As in years past, there will be a detour on Hwy 75.  There will be two-way traffic in the northbound lanes of the highway.  If possible, please make your homeowners aware of this.  We will be placing some signage along the highway to remind the motorists of the detour and the event.

There might be some overflow parking along some of the residential streets, as the athletes will be taking a bus shuttle from Silver Strand State Beach to the start line at Sunset Park.  These cars will be directed to the Cays area only after the state beach parking lots is filled.
