Hello Coronado Cays Boat Owners

10/30/2013

From your Dock Master:

Hello Coronado Cays Boat Owners! Just a few items worth mentioning:

**As we roll into the winter months, it’s a good time to check your dock lines for signs of wear and replace
as needed. The wind will kick up considerably in the winter months. For those who are already out of town and concerned, please feel free to call me and I will be happy to look things over for you.

**Home Owners: Please take a look at your dock and if it needs repairs or replacement, now is a good time to get it done. Our Regional General Permit through the Army Corps of Engineers and our 401 Certification through the San Diego Water Quality Control Board helps to streamline the permitting process through the government agencies. If you have dock replacement questions, I encourage you to call me.

**How’s your boat hoist doing? I have had quite a few calls about hydro-hoists that are in need of repair and some that were half sunk and other completely sunk. Please, take a look and ensure your hoists are in good working order in order to protect your huge investment…THE BOAT! Again, call me if you need advice on this.

**Reminder…Is your boat within the confines of your water easement lot? Please ensure you are not posing a navigational hazard to passing boats or encroaching on your neighbor’s water easement. If you would like to verify the exact size, please call me or stop by and I can show you the parcel map that has your water easement dimensions.

**I am still getting around and fixing gangway decks, dock panels, leaking water lines, broken water shutoff valves and other issues as I find them.  As always, if you know of something on your dock (in Kingston, Antigua, or Jamaica Village) that needs attention, please give me a call and I will add it to the list and get it taken care of.

Have a GREAT San Diego winter!

Cheers,

Mike Miller
